Job Description:

Raytheon Technologies is currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to help provide Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities and Duties will include:

• Design and develop electronic or electromechanical equipment or systems-oriented products and prepare related installation, operation, and maintenance specifications and instructions
• Analyze equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests
• Analyze engineering proposals and related technical data to determine feasibility of assigning new equipment or modifying existing equipment
• Prototype construction and checkout
• Compiling operational data and prepare customer application information
• Analyze, trend and troubleshoot Radio Frequency (RF), Digital, and optical systems
• Monitor systems for degradation, sparing, and obsolescence
• Identify, engineer, procure material, develop, install, test and document system upgrades and replacements.Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.Requirements:
    • An active and in-scope U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with C.I. Polygraph.
    • Advanced knowledge of RF communications principles and techniques
    • Advanced knowledge of AC and DC electronic principles and techniques
    • Detailed Knowledge of fiber optic communications principles and methods
    • Detailed Knowledge of satellite communications terms and principles
    • Ability to successfully complete safety at heights certification trainingDesired Requirements:
      • Systems design and development knowledge and experience
      • Antenna Servo equipment experience
      • Knowledge of engineering tools and test equipment
      • Fiber optic fusion splicing and termination experience
      • Self-Starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
      • Understanding of engineering documentation configuration management principles and processes
        In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $91,300 to $173,500; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
