Purpose of Job We are currently seeking a talented Director,
Credit Card Product Management for one of the following locations:
San Antonio Home Office II/III, Plano Legacy, Tampa Campus, Phoenix
Campus, Colorado Springs Campus or 100% Remote Work
As part of the Retail Bank organization, the Credit Card
Experiences team manages a sizeable portfolio of credit cards and
manages our products, originations, servicing, and marketing. This
role will lead a team that will lead a team of product managers to
define and manage our USAA Rewards Credit Cards, payment relief
programs, pre-commissioned officer offers and program, all card
ancillary benefits and programs.
The leader will define and deliver compelling value propositions
to engage our members. Working across the organization, the role
will work with Card, Bank, and affiliate teams to help drive
outcomes that deliver on our NPS goals as well as sound economics
for the Bank. From building actionable goals and metrics, defining
best-in-class product experiences, to delivering product roadmaps
and strategies, the role will drive product results and deliver on
our intent – to be our members’ card of choice because we deliver
the best value and experience.
Manages a team of individual contributors responsible for the
maintenance of existing products and/or the development and launch
of new products. Works collaboratively across Marketing, Finance,
Legal, Information Technology, Operations and the Distribution
Sales and Services groups to develop industry-leading products. Job

Communicates the product value proposition to Distribution
Ensures product team delivers sales support to all distribution
channels (e.g., .com, mobile, contact center) so that the product
is properly positioned to customers (sales tool and collateral
development, sales training, etc.).
Generates innovation and solutions for customer needs to ensure
a dynamic product development pipeline exists.
Develops and launches new product offerings as well as
auxiliary/enhanced features/services for existing products.
Analyzes and evaluates product performance metrics to form
recommendations regarding market opportunities and product
Leverages resources to gather data and member information to
support formulation of product strategy and acquire competitive
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain,
Statistics, or related discipline, OR 4 additional years of related
experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu
of a degree.
8 or more years relevant industry experience in Actuary,
Underwriting, Marketing, or Operations or 4 or more years direct
product management experience.
3 or more years of direct team lead or management

Credit Card product management (focus on rewards products)
experience in a medium to large regional or national financial
Strong knowledge of laws and regulations (e.g. Reg Z, UDAAP) for
the card industry
Solid understanding of credit card financials (P&L)
including levers that impact results.
Experience developing and delivering an annual plan and
multi-year roadmaps for product investments to deliver engagement
(NPS, spend, balances) and performance (EBIT, RAR) goals.
Strong, proven cross-functional and matrixed partnering skills
to deliver complex projects, goals, or investments.
Experience developing and launching products in market.
Thought leadership – understanding strategy/vision to execution
and delivering business value through credit card lifecycle.
