As a Chief Radiology Technologist you need to know how to:
Work in collaboration with department manager and physician
leader to identify and drive quality and performance improvement
initiatives and communicates this to the staff.
Monitor and act as a resource technologist in the daily
operations and activities of the Medical Imaging department.
Oversee the work of other personnel by training, allocating, and
monitoring work. Performs work of a similar nature.
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures,
objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and
infection control standards.
Prepare written documentation as required by the profession and
the department, such as evaluation results, individualized
treatment plans, progress reports, and other such reports.
Perform radiographic examinations.
Select and operate equipment as directed.
Ensure the preventative maintenance is performed according to
the established schedule.
Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness,
and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.
Assist in development of the capital and operating budgets.
Assist with Human Resource management Functions such as
interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback,
performance evaluation, and policy and procedure development.
Actively participate in problem solving and empowered to
expedite decisions relating to patient safety, care and

ARRT (R) registry, required.
Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience as a radiologic
