Job Description:

Join the dedicated Sysco team as a Class B Driver and be part of a global leader in the food service industry, providing top-quality food products to a diverse range of clients including restaurants, hospitals, and educational facilities. As a key player in our logistics and delivery operations, you will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of food goods while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance with all transportation regulations. Safely operate a Class B vehicle to transport food products to customers according to a scheduled route. Inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, complying with all DOT regulations and company policies. Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving, and retain fuel/toll receipts. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports and notify management of any major repairs. Communicate with dispatch as needed during deliveries and respond to any changes in schedule as necessary. Handle paperwork involved with the delivery procedure and ensure timely submission of reports. Ability to operate Class B vehicles Strong understanding of DOT regulations Excellent time management skills Good physical condition and strength Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Clean driving record DOT Medical Card
