The Legal & Social Responsibility division of Alterra Mountain company seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Paralegal for its fast-paced Legal Services Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES General Responsibilities Legal ReviewDraft and review contracts for an operating company, including lease, sponsorship, event, service-level and non-disclosure agreementsDraft sweepstakes and contest rulesParticipate as a key team member involved in special projects, including M&A due diligence, debt restructures, and other Legal & Social Responsibility- led projects.Provide support for contract management, including profiling documents and diarizing/managing task alerts Corporate GovernanceAssist with corporate governance, including preparation on resolutions, consents, resignations, annual filings.Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced comprehension of legal concepts with respect to contractsIntermediate knowledge of corporate governance in both Canada and U.S.Advanced proficiency of MSOfficeStrong work ethic and willingness to learnAbility to multi-task and be flexible, proactive and dedicatedExcellent communication, organizational and administrative abilitiesVery detail-oriented with a strong habit of follow-throughSelf-starter and works well under pressurePositive, energetic attitude towards guests and peersProfessional and friendly in both manner and appearance EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degreeParalegal certificate/diploma5+ years relevant experience The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.'s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits. Denver area base hourly pay range: $27.40 - $40.38 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
