employer Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures the overall
cleanliness, maintenance and sanitation of Town facilities while
maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency. Cleans and
cares for floors, office furniture and equipment, restrooms,
windows and more. Removes trash and stocks restrooms with paper
products and soap. Responds to emergency requests and sanitizes
areas as needed. Supervises part-time Facility Services Workers,
including assigning, coaching, reviewing and planning work.
Monitors work standards, coordinates activities, makes personnel
decision recommendations to Facilities Supervisor. Prepares annual
employee performance evaluations. Assists in scheduling work to
ensure that performance expectations can be achieved. Trains
workers on the effective use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Inspects buildings for cleanliness, safety hazards and maintenance
needs. Completes inspection reports. Helps ensure building security
by ensuring doors and windows are locked as required. Helps ensure
public safety by removing snow and ice from building exteriors.
Works within the Facilities Division to deliver room/event setup
requests in the timeframe requested. Performs minor maintenance
requests as well as preventive maintenance tasks including
inspecting buildings, stocking supplies and lubricating fitness
equipment. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Minimum
Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education, training,
and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and
abilities may be considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED
equivalent Experience: One to three (1-3) years' cleaning
experience. Prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred ; or
an equivalent combination fo education, training, and experience.
Licenses and/or Certifications Required: A valid Colorado driver's
license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to oversee a
diverse staff and foster an atmosphere of teamwork. Knowledge of
custodial maintenance, including the proper use of chemicals.
Knowledge of general building maintenance, including changing light
bulbs and completing snow removal. Ability to operate floor buffing
machine, scrubber, carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, snow blowers and
other minor equipment. Ability to work independently, as well as to
lead others and to establish and maintain effective working
relationships. Ability to understand verbal and written information
and to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to use a
computer-based facility maintenance system. Ability to work
flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, holidays
and/or weekends as needed. Good planning and organizational skills.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. Physical
Demands: Ability to drive to all facilities and to access all areas
of all facilities to perform duties Ability to stoop, kneel and
reach, as well as to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move
objects and materials of up to 50 pounds Frequent hand/eye
coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment
Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information Speech
communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees
and citizens Work Environment: Works primarily in a clean,
comfortable environment Equipment Used: Uses various cleaning
equipment including floor buffing machine, scrubber, carpet
cleaner, vacuum cleaner, snow blowers and other minor equipment
This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use
personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the
course of their employment. Must satisfactorily complete a criminal
background check, driving record check and fingerprinting analysis
