Description:Key responsibilities for this position include:--- Provide technical expertise and lab management for the development and maintenance of 5th Gen C4ISR programs and related activities in the Deer Creek facility for unclassified and classified spaces--- Lab management and maintenance including determining lab physical layout and network/computing architecture, equipment setup and configuration, general lab administration, maintaining lab access list control, maintenance and repair of lab equipment--- Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance--- Coordinate and perform software installations and upgrades to the 5th Gen lab software and database packages, ensuring implementation in accordance with established policies/procedures while ensuring configuration control--- Manage appropriate software solutions to ensure server data integrity, monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance level--- Monitor security alerts and application systems while working with other staff to ensure that all appropriate patch application occurs in an automated and timely fashion. The systems administrator will also be required to troubleshoot and assist with the resolving system HW and SW issues to restore systems to operations.--- Work closely with Deer Creek industrial security team to maintain a compliant security posture for all program environments--- Develop general and detailed documentation describing lab configuration, system specifications and operating instructions; and revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.--- Manage classified/unclassified inventory in PROP system by acting as program custodian--- Make programming/scripting changes as required to adapt or enhance existing or new programs and/or utilities--- Ensure proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Environment, Safety, and Health (ES&H) practices are being followed--- Lead annual capital planning efforts to determine priorities for new equipment purchases within allocated budget--- Support to lab activities in Australia directly related to both existing and new C4ISR projects, including support to the Lockheed Martin Australia facilities - Canberra Endeavour Centre and STELaR Lab--- Primary interface for establishing and troubleshooting lab network connectivity with other Australia and US labs--- Lab tour preparation and conduct including visits by internal and customer executive leadership--- Support for lab audit events and conducting self-audits to ensure inventory is up to date, equipment is under configuration control, calibration is current, and all applicable corporate policies are being followedThe ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that will enable them to work with the technical team and the technical and program leadership. Potential domestic and international travel may be required.This is a permanent position in Littleton, CO.Basic Qualifications:- An active Secret clearance is required.- Demonstrated strong background in System Administration and experience with lab administration and change / configuration management in systems and subsystem level Systems Administration and Enterprise experience, including but not limited to MS Windows, UNIX/Linux operating system environments- Experience with security hardening practices (STIGS, patching, configuration baseline, HIPS/Anti-Virus applications) and ability to work with industrial security to remediate scan findings as appropriate- Familiarity with Enterprise network services (DNS, Active Directory, WSUS, YUM, etc.) and ability to integrate and maintain program hardware in accordance with these services- Experience with COTS-based integration & test infrastructure - Experience with equipment troubleshooting, system and component level testing, hardware/software test analysis, and results documentation experienceDesired Skills:- Familiarity with VMware hypervisor environments (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, etc.) and general cloud computing cluster management- Familiarity with database management tools (e.g. JIRA)- Familiarity with Test Tools/Simulation --- Datalink Test tools, Command and Control Test Tools/Simulators, Serial Analyzers, Cable Analyzers, Network Analyzers- Ability to develop, track and maintain schedules- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and working with Defense Security Service (DSS)- Experience or familiarity with Risk & Opportunity Management - Experience optimizing processes and workflows utilizing tools, technology, and people - Demonstrated ability to actively and successfully engage externally with Customers, including U.S. Navy and Air Force program offices and International military customers and internally with Technical Leads, Chief Architects and Software Developers- Must be self-motivated, with excellent relationship building skills and must possess good communication skills, both oral and written.- Proficient with MS Office products and experience with graphic presentation programs.
