We are seeking a Senior
Systems Administratorbased at Employers global headquarters in Englewood,
Colorado. Your primary responsibilities will be to plan and build pre-production
and production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment.

Direct effort to plan, engineer, and design the
infrastructure, as well as direct effort to evaluate, recommend, integrate and
coordinate enhancements to the infrastructure.
Work with IT Architects to ensure that
modification/changes to the infrastructure interacts appropriately, data
conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed to
meet the performance requirements of the project.
Take a lead role in operational support of IT
Infrastructure technology including, but not limited to, Red Hat Enterprise
Linux operating system, Solaris, VMware, network, security, storage etc.
The installation, implementation, documentation
and ongoing maintenance of Open Source Systems software products on all
platform tiers (operating system/Middleware/data base)
Analyzing the performance of test and production
environments using monitoring tools on our server platforms to ensure
performance levels are maintained at appropriate levels Identifying operating
system or software problems related to the software products they support and
work with external vendor support organizations to provide resolutions to the
system issues or product defects
Installation, support, and maintenance of Linux
servers and the applications that run on them. This will include all patching,
updating versions, and implementation of Security policies and settings
Automate the infrastructure to provision complex
tasks like Ansible/Chef and Foreman.
Programming languages such as Perl, Python or
Shell scripting will be used to automate system tasks on any platform
Work independently on complex projects





















What you will need to succeed:





2+ years of experience in Linux, Automation and
Cloud environment
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to collaborate with resources across
multiple disciplines
Ability to design and document complex workflows
Strong proficiency in managing Bare metal,
Virtual instances in a clustered environment
Strong proficiency in VMware vSphere
Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and
how they relate to server communication, routing, firewalls etc.
Automation tools like Ansible, Chef or Foreman
Experience in scripting languages like Python,
Perl, YAML etc
Solid understanding of the cloud service models
Looks for any areas of improvement and suggests
changes, rather than waiting for direction
Excellent team player - proven ability to resolve
problems professionally and systematically
Excellent communication skills both written and
verbal, flexibility in concepts and action, able to handle aggressive mission
critical deadlines
Oversee effort to improve the infrastructure by
analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities,
performing complex product customization, and developing implementation and
verification procedures to ensure successful installation of hardware/software
systems
