Job DescriptionThe Systems Administrator ensures the stable operation of company computer systems, services, software, and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing of systems. The Systems and Administrator will also analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain Linux, Windows and VMware servers.
• Maintain LAN, telephone systems, Wireless LAN and Remote VPN.
• Deploy and maintain firewall, cryptography systems and all host security activities.
• Administer and maintain general use systems and services including LDAP, E-Mail, FTP, HTTP, VPN, and DNS.
• Recommend, install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software configurations.
• Be on-call to remedy service outages.
• Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user desktops.
• Provide upper tier support for franchisees for general use systems or services overseen including LDAP, E-Mail, FTP, and DNS.
• Administer and maintain end use accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Design, implement, and document remote Networks such as the conference warehouse and others.
• Administer and maintain systems and services including ADP, Sage FAS, Microsoft Navision, ICVerify, Altiris Notification and Deployment, file servers, phone (PBX/VOIP), fax and print servers.
• Design and implement administration tools.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, patches, and fixes.
• Monitor and measure systems and application performance.
• Ensure assigned internal controls are timely and properly performed, evidence of control performance is retained and made available to management, the external audit firm and internal audit upon request, as required for applicable positions.
• Perform other duties as assignedQualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
  • Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Positive, can-do attitude; flexibility, adaptabilitySupervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office environment. The job requires an individual to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
