Job Description Job Description Primary Job Title: Data Center M&E Technician (Day Shift) Alternate / Related Job Titles: Data Center Technician Data Center Operations Technician Critical Facilities Technician Data Center Mechanical & Electrical Technician Location & Onsite Flexibility: Denver, CO — Onsite Work Location: 1500 Champa Street, Denver, CO Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: $31.00 – $36.00 per hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Some flexibility required based on scheduled work Training Requirement: First 2 weeks required onsite, M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Potential for Conversion: No Job Summary The Data Center M&E Technician uses advanced mechanical and electrical skills to support daily data center operations , including preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, and vendor oversight. This role focuses on critical facility systems such as electrical distribution, HVAC, UPS, generators, and building management systems to ensure operational reliability and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform daily rounds and readings inspections of all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems Execute preventative maintenance and corrective repair activities Manage and complete CMMS work orders Escort and oversee third-party vendors , ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards Support electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, chillers, HVAC, and electrical distribution systems Ensure compliance with EHS policies , PPE requirements, regulatory standards, and quality procedures Assist with development of Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) , SOPs, and risk assessments Maintain accurate documentation, logbooks, and CERM records Participate in required training to support safe and effective job performance Required Qualifications 4–5 years of hands-on data center experience, specifically on the mechanical and electrical operations side Completed Trade School Program Strong mechanical and electrical skills Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints Strong communication skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a critical-environment setting Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Certified Electrician or HVAC Technician Multi-skilled experience across Electrical and HVAC systems Ability to mentor or share technical knowledge with other technicians Work Environment & Safety Fully onsite data center environment Safety background package required, including drug screening Strict adherence to EHS policies , safety procedures, and PPE standards Interview Process Initial phone screen Onsite interview , including a site tour Benefits (Contractor) Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans 401(k) Retirement Fund Weekly pay with direct deposit Dedicated GTT recruiter and compliance support Client Description Global Commercial Real Estate Services Leader A leading provider of commercial real estate services and investments, delivering data-driven solutions across industries and geographies.
