Database ArchitectEnglewood, CO Contract $50 - $70 per hourJob Duties and Responsibilities:

• Convert MS Access Databases: Migrate existing MS Access databases from 2016 32-bit to 2024 64-bit versions, ensuring data integrity and functionality.
• Database Automation: Develop and implement complex stored procedures in SQL Server to automate MS Access databases, enhancing efficiency and performance.
• Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain MS Access databases, including tables, queries, forms, reports, and switchboards.
• VBA and Macros: Upgrade existing VBA code and write new, enhanced VBA code and macros to automate tasks and improve database functionality.
• Data Integration: Leverage SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to efficiently integrate and transform data from multiple sources.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
• User Support and Training: Provide support and training to end-users.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and procedures.Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in building and maintaining MS Access databases.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Access, including tables, queries, forms, reports, and switchboards.
    • Strong knowledge of VBA and macros, with the ability to upgrade existing code and write enhanced VBA code.
    • Experience with SQL Server, including complex stored procedures and SSIS.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and end-users.
