Job DescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE:The Network Security
Administrator will provide network and security implementation,
support, and problem resolution to all users, for THE COMPANY's
growing number of locations. This role manages our network and
security across the US, in collaboration with external partners.
This position is primarily responsible for enterprise-wide security
(administration and monitoring) to ensure that all systems are
secure from unauthorized access, protected from inappropriate
alteration, and available to authorized users in a timely fashion.
The position is also responsible for network configuration and
support.This role requires a self-starter who consistently
demonstrates initiative and drive. The Network Security
Administrator must have the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment and prioritize tasks and projects
effectively.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:ResponsibilitiesThe
essential functions for this position include but are not strictly
limited to:
- Design, implement and manage multi-site (40+ locations)
enterprise-level LAN/WAN
- Lead the design, implementation, and enforcement of security
policies that protect systems and data from access by unauthorized
users
- Maintains and informs the cybersecurity strategy by keeping up
with security vulnerabilities, trends, and best practices
- Leads and facilitates regular security testing, auditing, and
remediation activities
- Reviews logs and security reports from all systems to identify
threats and vulnerabilities
- Assess security risks, recommend, and implement improvements to
reduce vulnerability
- Pro-actively identify and own the management of incidents,
events, and problems
- Maintain network performance through network monitoring,
analysis, and performance tuning
- Develop and maintain security and network documentation
- Manage escalations to vendor partners as appropriate
- Provide Escalation Support to Service Desk Team for network and
security related issues
- Performing all other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as
assigned by THE COMPANY's management
- To perform the above functions, the Network Security
Administrator must be present at THE COMPANY's Denver Tech Center
office, as scheduled, (including some weekends) and work all
required hoursQUALIFICATIONS:Technical Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with configuring, maintaining, and
monitoring security devices specifically firewalls, IDS/IPS, email
and Internet filtering systems, and network monitoring
software
- Extensive experience with securing LAN and WAN internetworking
technologies
- Experience in a layered security environment, including virus
protection, MFA, and Intune
- Advanced Microsoft skills, including Active Directory, Windows
10, and Microsoft Office (O365)Behavioral Qualifications:
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with
minimal supervision
- Ability to respond to escalated support cases with a sense of
urgency
- Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using
documentation and internet resources
- Ability to proactively identify solutions that will drive
improved efficiencies
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, executives,
and suppliers, in a wide range of situations
- Ability to patiently explain concepts to our users in laymen's
terms
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and
conceptual skillsExperience:
- Minimum eight+ years of hands-on experience in a technology
organization, with successful experience in a security or network
administration role
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science,
Information Systems or equivalent work experiencePREFERENCES:
- Knowledge of Fortinet network and security product line
- Experience with Crowdstrike security platform
- ITIL certification desiredSPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Duties are performed in the following work environments: 95%
Office and 5% FieldWORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent deskbound work requiring the use of telephones,
computer,s and mouse
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds for at least
100 feet; able to periodically lift more than 25 pounds for at
least 100 feet, with the assistance of another member of THE
COMPANY team
- Able to walk, stand, sit, use hands to finger/pinch/grip,
handle/feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance,
stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, see, and hearThe salary range for
this role is between $95,000 and $160,000. Specific compensation
will be based on the skills, experience, seniority, merit,
location, education, training, and need for travel of the selected
