Job Description:

The brandiD is seeking a remote WordPress developer. The WordPress developer role is a key member of our web services team. This skilled individual will work virtually, but closely with the Senior Web Developer and other team members to create professional, functional, engaging online experiences for both web services clients and internal projects.

What You'll Do

  • Build, manage, and support websites for internal and external clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Create WordPress websites using clean, efficient and modern coding practices
  • Work within time allowed to deliver projects in accordance with defined requirements, schedules and deadlines
  • Train clients and/or internal team on how to manage and maintain all built functionality
  • Manage and coordinate tasks and communicate with clients as necessary
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external project team members

    Ideal Candidates Will Have the Following Skills
    • 2+ years agency experience (agency or in- -house preferred)
    • Able to build from a PSD design in an efficient and flawless manner for the perfect HTML / CSS layouts
    • Well- -versed in WordPress configuration and custom theme development
    • Experience with WooCommerce
    • Experience with ClickFunnels
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of HTML5, CSS3, PHP and Javascript/jQuery
    • Experience with the Genesis Framework and working with StudioPress themes
    • Fluent with Git, Sass, Gulp, PostCSS and other developer build tools
    • Fluent with managing a local development environment, deployment tools and staging
    • Comfortable building accessible websites
    • Integration of third-party email marketing automation tools like MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, aWeber, etc.
    • Implementing / Developing / Managing membership sites with MemberPress, Wishlist or other membership plugins
    • Familiar with LMS (Learning Management Systems) like LearnDash and LifterLMS

      Desired Characteristics
      • High-level communication skills that include humor, fun, and good (or bad) jokes
      • Detail-oriented and multidisciplinary skillset
      • Plays well with others-enjoys being part of a high-energy, fast-paced team atmosphere
      • The ability to handle varying amounts of weekly work and effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexity
      • Self-starter, proactive and self-sufficient team player - hand-holding isn't our thing unless we're kumbayaing ----
      • Working hours of daylight Eastern or Central time zones (preferred)
      • Desire to learn new tools and programs
      • Open to self-improvement, learning, and development
      • Technical writing skills (You don't need to be Mark Twain, but it would be great if you could string sentences together when needed)

        Nice To Have Qualifications (but Not Absolutely Necessary)
        • Understanding of basic SEO best practices
        • Familiar with and using WPEngine for hosting
        • Familiar with Basecamp for managing projects
        • Use a Mac for development
