Responsibilities: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a highly motivated team that designs, develops and delivers innovative services for ourbrand new IoT Device Manager in the cloud.Translate use cases into functional applicationsCreate design documents from software requirementsDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable and scalable softwareTroubleshoot issues in existing applicationsEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsIdentify performance bottlenecks and develop solutions to these problemsDevelop and execute unit testsIdentify and implement key application metrics and monitoring solutionsResearch and utilize new cutting edge technologiesAssist in task estimations and schedulesMentor junior engineers and perform code reviews Qualifications: Must Haves3+ years of expert knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming and JAVAProficient with SpringBoot, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Containerization (Docker), Kafka and Redis Experience in applying design and architectural patterns when building distributed, scalable and fault tolerant applicationsExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud products such as Lambda, EC2, RDS, SQS or KinesisAbility to write clean, readable, secure code and adhere to teams coding style guides and experience with documenting high level architecturesExperience with versioning tools such as GitAbility to work well independently, as well as collaboratively, to take initiative, and to maintain productivity under pressure and in a very fast paced agile environmentAbility to interact with diverse groups of technical folks including remote and offshore teamExcellent inter-personal, and communication skills, ability to engage with users and stakeholders across disciplines, verbally and in writingStrong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detailBachelor's in Computer Science or equivalentStrong PlusesExpertise in Node.jsExperience supporting and troubleshooting high availability, real time, production AWS applicationsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and associated toolsFamiliarity with MongoDB, ElasticsearchProficient with Linux command line andrelevant system troubleshooting utilitiesExperience working with low level network protocolsExperience working under a DevOps modelStrong knowledge of agile software development methodologiesMaster's in Computer Science or equivalentExperience in the IoT telematics domainIf you are a talented Senior Software Engineer with three years of Java experience and have an interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) domain, we want to speak with you.
