Principal Cyber Engineer

Colorado Springs, CO

The Principle Cyber Engineer will communicate and work closely with Agile Leadership and Program Management in support of the C2BMC ISSM, System owners, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Operational ISSOs, Cyber peers, Program Office technical/management staff, and other C2BMC Functional Areas to ensure the C2BMC fielded system attains and maintains appropriate Authorization for Connection, Test, and Operational purposes. The A&A Product Owner will plan, assign, status, and manage all Agile tasks across Iterations working collaboratively across the Cyber Engineering, Cyber Development, and Cyber Sustainment teams.

You are expected to assist with Cyber Products analysis, Vulnerability mitigation, and POA&M Management to lead the A&A Agile Product Team in the effective delivery of eMASS Packages and Ports Protocols, and Services (PPS) in accordance with contract schedules. In addition you will develop technical documentation, surge support for authorization packages in eMASS, assessing vulnerabilities, engineer responses for system POA&Ms, propose support, interface with Cost Account Management (CAM), conducting risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests (RARs), and provide Cyber support to the C2BMC program and customer meetings.

Required Experience:

* Excellent working knowledge of Cyber capabilities such as patch management, multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management, active/passive system scanning, and defense-in-depth
* Recent experience and familiarity with creating/updating Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for RMF Authority to Operate (ATOs)
* Application experience hardening Windows and Linux servers and workstations in accordance with GPOs, IAVMs, and STIGs is desired. Network design and software engineering backgrounds are a plus
* Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) technology, NIST standards, DoDI 8500.2, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Security Controls
* Experience in the Agile Development Lifecycle to include generating requirements, architecture design, configuring Cyber audit tools, conducting verification, and performing Cyber vulnerability, and Cyber configuration activities
* Significant leadership experience and effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships
* Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication skills for presentation of technical Cyber issues and reports to the Government, Program Management, and other C2BMC Functional Areas
* Recent hands-on experience with Agile execution, tools, and methodologies is highly preferred

Education Required:

* Bachelor's degree in an engineering/cyber discipline or equivalent years of experience plus 8 years hands on experience
* Appropriate IAT - Level II DoDI 8570 certificate or the ability to obtain IAM Level III within the 8570 prescribed guidelines


* Position is physically located at Hwy 83. Up to 33% of time will be spent in the field primarily at the MDIOC

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $91,300 to $173,500; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
