This Software Engineer will be a critical member of our Advanced Surgical division's R&D team, based in Denver, CO. The engineer will have immediate opportunities to contribute to new product development with a focus on minimally invasive surgical technologies designed to deliver real benefits to surgeons, hospitals and their patients. Advanced Surgical products include: -- Advanced insufflation systems -- Advanced energy systems -- Electrosurgical units (ESU's) -- Laparoscopic surgical instruments As a CONMED Software Engineer II, you will be working on a high performing team, writing code for a capital unit. Responsibilities will include: -- Perform all traditional software development activities such as software design, analysis programming, debugging, and testing -- Participate in design and code reviews -- Troubleshoot code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications -- Apply sound engineering principles and techniques to both verify and validate new and existing systems/subsystems for use in medical applications -- Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems Qualifications This role requires a talented and driven team player who is eager to contribute to multiple exciting projects and initiatives. Candidates will be assessed based on the following qualifications * 5+ years engineering work experience required, preference placed on experience in medical device product design and development * Experience in C, C++ and Java required * Experience with unit testing is required * Experience with UML modeling is a plus * Experience with Android is a plus * Experience with embedded Linux is a plus
* B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering (or highly related field) required Benefits:
