Westminster Medical Clinic, A Nationally-Awarded Clinic, is seeking a Physician (MD or DO) in FAMILY MEDICINE to join the WMC Team!Celebrating Over 65 Years in private practice! We are the first family medicine clinic in the City of Westminster.www.westminstermedicalclinic.comA Career at Westminster Medical Clinic (WMC): Teamwork. Innovation. Community. Joy, Recreation, and Wellbeing.Teamwork.--The provider's primary role is to serve patients. At WMC, providers support one another in care teams, including physicians, physician assistants/nurse practitioners, pharmacist, physical medicine , medical assistants, care manager, health coach, behavioral health counselor, and administrative support staff. However, leading a care team may be a future goal and not an expected responsibility when first starting at the clinic. WMC is seeking to hire a Physician with curiosity in medicine, mentorship and teaching providers, and an interest to advance our current teamwork model.In addition, collaboration extends to specialty care since the advent of the "Medical Neighborhood" at Westminster Medical. The clinic was the first in the country to work with specialists agreeing to a Compact document detailing guidelines about the professional working relationship and patient-centered care. As a priority, the clinic embraces relationships with the local community behavioral health centers because behavioral health is a gap in primary care throughout the country. The clinic regularly works alongside the community centers to help patients in need.Innovation.--WMC is seeking to hire a Physician passionate about innovation, creativity, and quality improvement. The physician will have voice and venue to build clinic strategy, advising clinical staff and administration, preserving the values of medicine and principles off the Patient-Centered Medical Home, developing new programming/services, as well as prioritizing clinical standardization across clinical operations. Research and development are integral at WMC because we believe innovation is our philosophy for private practice sustainability. WMC has received awards from the Colorado Health Foundation and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Providers and staff also work closely with the WMC Patient Advisory Council to steer clinic strategy. Moreover, the clinic is 1 of 8 most innovatie practices connected with a 501(c)3 called Colorado Center for Primary Care Innovation. The group partners with the nonprofit to implement dynamic programs to advanced family medicine across Colorado and the country. Also, Westminster Medical is participated in the State Innovation Model (SIM) project. Currently, the clinic is a participant in the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus-Track 2 initiative. In 2013, the clinic was named 1 of 30 Exemplary primary care practices in the country by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation because of the team care culture with which it operates. Team care is embedded throughout Westminster's culture as each member of the team trusts and empowers one another. Patients are assigned to care teams (currently Red or Blue; future White) to promote most effective continuity of care as patients are seen by providers leading the respective care teams. Teams gather regularly daily in huddles and monthly in various venues to discuss case management & shared-care plans, and integration of clinical programs.Community.--Westminster Medical Clinic strives in cultivating healing and personal or organizational relationships within the community. WMC celebrates over 65 years in service to the community and continues to serve generations of families. Today, the clinic focuses on serving patients as people and to know their circumstances where they live, work, and play. Westminster Medical reflects this sentiment in its Mission to "provide comprehensive, coordinated, personalized, whole-person care and work with the community to support healthier living." WMC partnerships are important for community-level health. The practice goal is to become what we term a "Community-Connected Medical Home" (namesake Patient-Centered Medical Home) and be a credible resource of health alongside the community. A few current partnerships include Jefferson Center for Mental Health, Denver Public Schools, and City of Westminster Parks and Recreation. WMC is seeking to hire a Physician interested in building relationships with WMC partners, introducing new partners to WMC, and cultivating relationships internally with peers. Joy, Recreation, and Wellbeing.--Colorado has more than 300 days of sunshine yearly and is named one of the best places to live in the country. The activities and opportunities are limitless. A few of the "happiest cities" in the US include the north-western portion of the Front Range here in Colorado-just minutes from Westminster Medical Clinic! Denver and the surrounding areas offer some of the finest and fun restaurants and eclectic foods, including a popular demand for craftsmen breweries throughout the Front Range.WMC prioritizes provider and staff wellbeing because we aren't able to heal others unless we ourselves are also healed. Providers and staff experience 1-2 wellness retreats yearly, social activities, monthly provider Balint Groups, offerings of anonymous, paid mental health counseling, a weekly Wellness Hour of preferred activities, and other wellness offerrings. Additional Information regarding the Position:Clinic visits range from 20-40 minutes per patient visit. The number of visits per day directly depends upon the physician's schedule (some providers have decided to work three 10-12 hour days and others prefer 4-5 shorter days per week). In an 8-hour day, a physician may see between 16-20 patients. Each medical provider has a medical assistant working at the top of her license and empowered to be part an instrumental part of the care team.Position eligible for clinic ownership in accordance with clinic shareholder agreement.32-34 hours direct-patient-care & 4-8 hour administrative workweeks; Rotating call schedule weekdays/weekends approximately every 8th-10th weekCompensation:--- Competitive; directly depends upon experience and years served in the professionBenefits:--- Paid Time Off directly depends upon years served in the profession--- Health care premium contribution with clinic sponsored health care plan options--- 401k enrollment and up to 4% match after 1 year of employment --- Continuing Medical Education stipend up to $1250-$1500 annually
