Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse Shift : PT Weekend Days 1P-1A Hospital : Swedish Medical Center , Englewood , CO . Level 1 Trauma Center and Lateran Award Winner . Required : Must have a current Colorado Registered Nurse License or compact accepted . Current BLS, ACLS certification through the AHA. TNCC , and PALS . Required : For out of state applicants, after a successful video interview candidate will be invited visit on-site for a 3 to 4 hour shadow shift . OUR EMERGENCY SERVICE LINES: * Level 1 Trauma Center * Neurosciences, Stroke * Severe Sepsis and Septic Shock * Cardiac Services * Cancer Treatment Center * Advanced Radiology * Women and Children's Services * Colorado's only Burn Center at Level One Trauma Center * Pediatric ER staffed with Pediatric ER nurses and board certified pediatricians * Comprehensive Stroke Center * Joint Commission Accredited CAD, CHF and CABG * ER float pool * L1-BL1 Position Summary: The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC/SWER/Belmar ER. The registered nurse will follow the criteria set forth by the HealthONE RN Super Pool criteria and must float between multiple facilities/campuses. Required Job Qualifications include: * Current licensure as an RN * Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. * ACLS Certification * PALS * TNCC * Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. * Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. * Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. * Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
