Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our collaborative healthcare team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will work directly in our state-of-the-art operating rooms across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted under optimal conditions by preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and assisting surgeons during operations. Our mission is to provide top-tier patient-centered care, and we rely on our Surgical Technologists to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Prep and maintain the operating room before and after surgery ensuring it meets all sterile protocols. Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery, including cleaning and disinfection. Provide technical assistance to surgeons during operations, such as passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Monitor and manage surgical equipment, reporting any malfunctions or inconsistencies. Keep accurate records of procedures, noting any deviations from the expected course. Participate in training sessions and stay updated with the latest industry protocols and techniques. Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques. Proficient in operating room procedures and terminology. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure. Good interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective work in a team environment.
