Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Orthopedics Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Maintain 1:5 nursing patient ratio with independent management of 5 patients • Care for diverse patient population including elective orthopedic and orthopedic trauma patients • Perform dressing changes and patient assessments • Work on 20-bed orthopedic unit located on 9 South of main hospital • Use Meditech EMR system for documentation • Must have experience working independently on surgical units • Previous pain management experience preferred • Previous orthopedic experience preferred • Must demonstrate positive attitude and strong teamwork skills • Work alongside dedicated nursing team of 1 charge nurse and 4 staff nurses per shift Facility: This healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive medical system providing specialized orthopedic care in a state-of-the-art environment.
