Job Description:
Intermountain Healthcare is seeking an experienced Operating
Room Surgical Technologist to join our dedicated team in providing
innovative and high-quality care across our network of hospitals
and clinics. As an integral member of the surgical team, you will
work directly under the supervision of surgeons and nurses,
ensuring that the operating room is prepared for a variety of
surgical procedures. This dynamic position requires a meticulous
and efficient approach, focusing on patient safety and optimal
surgical outcomes. Prepare and maintain the operating room by
setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and
sterile solutions. Assist surgeons and surgical nurses by passing
them needed instruments during surgery, ensuring a seamless
operational flow. Adhere to hospital and regulatory compliance
regarding biohazard safety and sterilization standards. Conduct
inventory checks and ensure all pieces of surgical equipment are
functioning properly before and after surgeries. Participate in
patient care, including transporting patients to and from the
operating room, observing vital signs, and applying dressings
post-operation. Proficiency in sterilization techniques Knowledge
of human anatomy and medical terminology Ability to operate and
understand surgical equipment Strong organizational skills and
attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication
