UCHealth seeks a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Transplant and Thoracic team on night shifts. Located in Colorado, UCHealth is a leading nonprofit healthcare system known for our state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to patient-centered care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a specialized unit caring for transplant and thoracic surgery patients, involving both routine and critical care post-operative support. Provide high-level nursing care for transplant and thoracic surgery patients in an acute setting. Monitor patient condition post-operation and react promptly to any changes. Collaborate with transplant and thoracic surgery teams to optimize patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and health maintenance. Administer medications accurately and oversee patient pain management. Ensure documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Critical care proficiency Patient assessment capabilities Strong intravenous (IV) skills Ability to operate complex medical equipment Excellent communication and empathy Time management and teamwork Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado BLS certified ACLS preferred Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is a plus
