Job Description:
UCHealth invites you to join our team as a Registered Nurse
Fellow for the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This position provides
the perfect opportunity for a registered nurse seeking specialized
training in ICU care, capitalizing on a unique learning pathway
supplemented by hands-on clinical experience. Our dedicated
education and mentorship programs will advance your skills and
knowledge in critical care nursing, helping you achieve mastery in
a highly supportive and patient-focused environment. Working in the
overnight shift, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional care
by adhering to top standards of safety and performance in managing
complex patient cases within the ICU. Provide comprehensive nursing
care to critically ill patients, adhering to established protocols
and standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
to formulate individualized patient care plans. Monitor, manage,
and adjust life-support equipment and other necessary medical
devices. Administer medications accurately and observe their
effectiveness. Maintain thorough, timely documentation of all
nursing interventions, treatments, and patient responses in the
medical records. Educate patients and their families on disease
processes, treatment plans, and in-patient and post-discharge care.
Participate in ICU training sessions and contribute to unit
performance improvement initiatives. Strong assessment and
evaluation skills Proficiency in managing medical technology and
equipment Excellent teamwork and coalition-building skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills Capacity to stay
organized and multitask in a high-pressure environment Medical

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of
Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification desirable
