Job Description:

UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Pre/Post Special Procedures/Surgery department. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various diagnostic and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring safety and optimally preparing patients for surgical procedures. This role requires excellence in patient care, the ability to respond effectively to patient needs, and the competence to operate advanced medical equipment. Assessing patient conditions and implementing preoperative and postoperative care plans. Monitoring patient vital signs and symptoms before and after procedures. Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring responses. Educating patients and families about procedures, recovery, and care plans. Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. Maintaining patient records and documenting all care information accurately. Ensuring all healthcare safety and sanitation standards are met. Strong clinical skills in a surgical setting Excellent patient assessment capabilities Proficiency in the use of medical equipment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado BLS Certification required ACLS Certification preferred
