Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Thornton, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - ICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM /n• Patient ratios typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity (estimated ratios, not guaranteed) /n• ICU experience in medical/surgical/neuro/trauma setting required /n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS /n• Preferred: TNCC certification and 2 years ICU experience /n• Work with variety of patient population including neuro surgical, trauma (level III facility transitioning to level II), cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, ETOH/Drug withdrawal, and all ventilated patients /n• Equipment includes Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero /n• EMR system: Meditech /n• Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to help team /n• Patient-centered care approach required /n• Work in newly expanded 28-bed ICU with two pods (Pod A with 12 beds, Pod B with 16 beds) /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a modern 28-bed ICU with a recent expansion that opened in January 2019. The facility operates as a Level III trauma center currently undergoing transition to Level II status. The ICU is staffed with 24/7 intensivists and maintains an experienced nursing team with some staff members having over 20 years of experience. The facility serves an average census of 100-125 patients and provides comprehensive critical care services including advanced trauma care, neurosurgical support, and specialized equipment for complex patient needs. /n/n Location: /n Thornton, CO /n Thornton offers a vibrant suburban community just north of Denver with easy access to both urban amenities and outdoor recreation opportunities.
