Job Description Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Location: Hudson, Florida Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent (Contingent) Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends) Job Summary The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality care to critically ill patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including test results and assessments Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and care plans Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise in emergency and high-acuity situations Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license If compact license is held, Florida RN license must be obtained within 60 days of hire Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required Prior acute care nursing experience strongly required Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification AHA ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Basic computer and documentation skills Preferred / Additional Considerations Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and patient-centered care Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
