be considered. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced
Registered Nurses with stepdown and cardiac surgical care
expertise. The position is based in Littleton, CO, within a
fast-paced Progressive Care Unit located on the 10th floor of a
leading cardiac center known for high acuity and excellence.
Responsibilities include providing bedside nursing care to patients
recovering from cardiac surgery and needing stepdown level
observation. You will manage complex cardiac patients with various
drips such as heparin, amiodarone, and nitro while monitoring
telemetry and other cardiac-specific equipment like chest tubes,
pacer wires, and bipap/cpap devices. Collaboration with a skilled
multidisciplinary team will ensure delivery of high-quality patient
care in accordance with unit guidelines and policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Current RN license with
stepdown (PCU) and cardiac experience - ACLS certification required
- Proficiency with cardiac drips including heparin, diltiazem,
amiodarone, and nitro - Experience with chest tube management,
pacer wire care, and 12-lead EKGs - Ability to thrive in a
high-acuity, fast-paced environment - Strong team player with high
energy and excellent communication skills Location: Littleton, CO
