ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Denver, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Neuro/Trauma Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Seasonal travel position available • Work on 7th floor neurotrauma unit with 38 beds • Patient ratio typically 4:1, currently running some 5:1 due to staffing needs • Required certifications: NIH certification, BLS, and heavy medical-surgical background • Preferred qualifications: ACLS and neuro experience • Work with equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-pap, C-pap, and glucometers • Use Meditech EMR system • Perform NIH/stroke assessments, neuro assessments, fall risk assessments, trach care, and feeding tube management • Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, ability to multitask, and work as a team player • Ideal candidates are highly motivated, positive, energetic, flexible, and passionate about neuro patient population • Must be able to take initiative, think quickly, and engage with patient experience tactics Facility: This healthcare facility features a comprehensive neurotrauma unit that specializes in caring for patients with neurological conditions and trauma injuries.
