Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Englewood, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,876 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN - Med Surg/Neuro Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: Must-Have: NIH certification, BLS, heavy med-surg background Preferred: ACLS, Neuro experience Description: This position is for a seasonal travel RN specializing in Med Surg/Neuro. The unit consists of 38 beds and has a staff of 55. During the day shift, there are 2 charge nurses (without patients) and an RN ratio of 4-5:1. On night shift, there may be 1-2 charge nurses depending on staffing with the same RN ratio. Patient ratios may run as high as 5:1 due to current staffing levels. The unit is equipped with IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and glucometers. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should be passionate about the neuro patient population and have relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, be able to multitask, and work well within a team. They should also have a positive and energetic demeanor, be flexible, and engage with patient experience tactics. Familiarity with NIH/stroke assessments and neuro assessments is essential.
