be considered. Providing critical care within a specialized
step-down unit, this role focuses on delivering expert nursing to
patients recovering from severe trauma and complex medical
conditions. Situated on the 10th floor of a prominent hospital in
the Denver area, this position offers the opportunity to work with
a skilled team in a Level 1 trauma center environment, known for
its collaborative atmosphere and challenging patient care.
Location:Denver, CO, offers a vibrant urban lifestyle with access

live and work. Schedule/Type: Contract position Shifts: 7:00 AM to
7:00 PM Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to
patients in a 20-bed multi-trauma step-down unit. Manage complex
medical equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps,
wound vacs, and chest tubes. Perform procedures such as chest tube
placement and bedside bronchoscopies. Collaborate closely with
physicians, charge nurses, and tech support to deliver coordinated
care. Maintain patient ratios typically around 1:4, ensuring
attentive and thorough nursing care. Document patient care
accurately in the Meditech EMR system. Qualifications: Registered
Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in Colorado. Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification required. Experience managing chest tubes,
tracheostomies, suction, and trauma patients. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Ability
to work effectively in a fast-paced, acute care environment. Strong
teamwork and communication skills critical for success in this
