Description: This travel RN position focuses on orthopedic, spine,
and general surgery. The unit is comprised of 36 beds with a staff
of 27. During the day shift, there is 1 charge RN, RNs as needed,
1-2 Techs, and 1 secretary. On the night shift, there is 1 charge
RN, RNs as needed, and 1-2 Techs. Patient-to-RN ratios are 5:1,
with 8-12 patients per tech. The unit utilizes equipment such as
immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment. The electronic medical
record system is Meditech. Candidates with experience in orthopedic
and spine surgery are preferred. Typical procedures include total
joints surgery (knee, hip, shoulder) and spine surgeries. The ideal
candidate will be energetic, possess a good sense of humor, and be
empathetic. The unit has a reputation for excellent teamwork,
