Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro Location: Englewood, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,693 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN - Neurotrauma Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: NIH Certification, BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have heavy medical-surgical background. Description: This position is for a travel RN specializing in neurotrauma. The unit has a total of 38 beds and a staff of 55. The day shift typically has a ratio of 4-5 RNs to each charge nurse. For night shift, there is usually 1-2 charge nurses depending on staffing. The patient ratios currently run from 4:1 to 5:1 due to staffing challenges. Equipment used in the unit includes IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and glucometers. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates must possess NIH certification and BLS. A preferred qualification is ACLS certification and neuro experience. Typical procedures performed on the unit include NIH/stroke assessments and neuro assessments. Fall risk assessments, tracheostomy care, and management of feeding tubes are also common.
