Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Englewood, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,693 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN - Med Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Description: This is a seasonal travel RN position in a Medical-Surgical unit. The unit includes 33 rooms, accommodating up to 49 patients with some semi-private rooms. There are 62 staff members on the unit. During the day shift, there are typically 2 charge nurses, 2 techs, and 6-7 RNs. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 1.5 techs, and 5-6 RNs. Patient ratios are 4:1 during the day and 5:1 at night. Telemetry monitoring equipment is utilized on the unit. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Candidates must have a background in medical-surgical nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Preferred candidates will have experience working with spinal cord injury patients. Typical procedures performed on the unit include wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care. We are looking for RNs who thrive in a busy environment. The unit specializes in caring for surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with complex wounds. There is collaboration with a burn unit for the management of low-acuity burn patients.
