Position Overview: Operating Room at Our Facility Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assistant Seeking Candidates with RNFA Experience! Minimum of 2 Years Required! Full-Time Day Shift About Us: Our operating room handles a diverse range of cases, including Orthopedics, Neurology, and General Services. Registered Nurses are typically assigned to one of these specialty areas, with opportunities for cross-training in other sections of the department. The RN First Assistant engages in perioperative nursing and has developed the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment through structured training and supervised practice to assist the surgeon in the operating room, either as a first or second assistant. All intraoperative activities performed by the RN First Assistant must be overseen by a surgeon. Qualifications: Licensure: RN License in the state of Missouri Experience: A minimum of 2 years of intraoperative experience is required Certifications: CNOR and RN-First Assistant certification must be obtained within one year of hire or transfer. BLS/ACLS certification is required within the first year.
