Overview: The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible
for operating digital imaging equipment and conducting intricate
invasive procedures. This includes positioning patients and
preparing contrast media to assist physicians in both diagnostic
and therapeutic tasks. A thorough understanding of anatomy and
physiology is essential. The role involves working with various
substances such as contrast media, chemotherapy agents, radiation
agents, cements, resins, and embolization agents. This position may
also require performing procedures in other departments, including
the Operating Room and Cath Lab, across multiple imaging
modalities. This is a clinical role with 100% patient interaction
and may necessitate mandatory on-call duties as required.
Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Radiographer license from the State of Connecticut. ARRT
certification in Radiography is mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification. Education: Must have graduated from an accredited
Radiography program. Experience: A minimum of 1 year as a
Radiologic Technologist is required; 1-2 years of Interventional
Radiology experience is preferred. We are dedicated to nurturing
