registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience

be considered. This opportunity is ideal for experienced registered
nurses with step-down and trauma care expertise seeking a contract
role in a dynamic clinical setting. The position is based on the
10th floor in a Level 1 trauma center, specializing in multi-trauma
and progressive care patients. The unit features 20 beds with a
highly acute patient population, requiring skilled nursing
professionals adept at managing complex clinical needs. Key
Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to
multi-trauma step-down patients, many requiring ventilators,
tracheostomies, chest tubes, and advanced wound management. -
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions utilizing Meditech
EMR. - Administer therapies including chest tube placement and
bedside bronchoscopies under protocol. - Collaborate effectively
within multidisciplinary teams including physicians, techs, and
charge nurses. - Maintain compliance with unit and hospital
policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Preferred Experience
and Qualifications: - Current and valid RN license. - Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification required. - Ability to manage chest
tubes, trachs, suction, and trauma patient care. - Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. -
Experience with ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs,
specialty beds, and chest tubes. - Demonstrated capability to work
as part of a team in a fast-paced, highly acute environment. -
Strong communication skills and critical thinking.
