Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Seasonal travel position providing coverage for staff leave • Patient ratio of 1:5 nursing ratio • Independent patient care managing 5 patients • Must have experience in surgical unit • Pain management experience preferred • Orthopedic experience preferred • Perform typical procedures including dressing changes and aspiration • Work with diverse patient population including elective orthopedic and orthopedic trauma patients • Use Meditech EMR system • Work collaboratively with dedicated nursing team focused on quality patient outcomes • Must demonstrate positive attitude and team player mentality • 20-bed medical surgical orthopedic unit • Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 4 nurses Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized 20-bed medical surgical orthopedic unit that serves a diverse patient population including both elective orthopedic patients and orthopedic trauma cases.
