Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse Provide care to laboring patients and support safe deliveries. Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond promptly to changes. Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management as prescribed. Assist with deliveries and immediate postpartum care. Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Requirements of the Travel Nurse Valid Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor & Delivery or obstetric care. Current BLS and NRP certifications.
