Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: CST/ORT Certification Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM-C or AWHONN Must-Have: Ability to care for both low risk and high risk obstetric patients. Ability to circulate a c-section. Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring skills. Strong patient experience skills. Description: Travel opportunity for a CST in Labor & Delivery. The unit has 16 beds and a staff of 40. The typical staffing includes 6 RNs on Day Shift and 5 RNs on Night Shift, including charge nurses and scrub techs. Patient ratios are approximately 1:2, but may fluctuate based on acuity. Equipment includes GE fetal monitor systems and EMR CPN, Meditech. Common procedures performed include cerclages, versions, c-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&Cs, care of fetal demise, and epidurals. Candidates with experience in mom/baby and couplet care will be prioritized. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong teamwork, a cheerful disposition, and collaboration skills with medical staff. Exceptional patient experience skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be comfortable with unblocked/unepiduralized patients.
