19 - 1129 - Registered Nurse Long Term CareEstes Park Health Living Center, a 24-hour, 52-bed skilled nursing facility that's located adjacent to Estes Park Health. In this home-like setting, our skilled professional staff works with residents and their families to provide care plans that reflect the needs and desires of the individual. Whether we're providing transportation to local appointments, hosting a family dinner for a resident or providing nutritional consulting, we strive to provide a loving, caring environment that feels like home. ++SUMMARY++: The Registered Nurse plans for and utilizes nursing process to meet needs of patients of all ages. Includes assessment, planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation and evaluation. (Assess per chart review). ++DUTIES++: - Performs treatment in a safe and effective manner - Administers medications in a safe and timely manner - Maintains responsibility for preparation, interpretation and evaluation of test data - Demonstrates knowledge and skills to act appropriately in an emergency situation - Demonstrates knowledge and participates in education and counseling of patients and significant other in a plan of care - Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary - Promotes positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrates effective communication skills - Maintains confidentiality of all patient and hospital information - Practices according to professional and ethical standards. Demonstrates an understanding of and functions as a professional nurse in accordance with Colorado State Nurse Practice Act - Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment ++POSITION REQUIREMENTS:++ - Current Colorado RN licensure required - American Heart Association BLS -- 1-2 years nursing experience
