19 - 3030 - CO - Med/Surg Registered NurseSUMMARY: Provide nursing care to patients in Med/Surg. All aspects of nursing process; assess plans, implement and evaluate and documentation of care.DUTIES: Plans for and utilizes nursing process to meet needs of patients of all ages. Includes assessment, planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation and evaluation. (Assess per chart review)Performs treatment in a safe and effective manner.Administers medications in a safe and timely manner.Maintains responsibility for preparation, interpretation and evaluation of test data.Demonstrates knowledge and skills to act appropriately in an emergency situation.Demonstrates knowledge and participates in education and counseling of patients and significant other in a plan of care.Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competency. May be required to complete periodic mandatory education as established by the Education Director and the Director of Medical/Surgical Nursing.Promotes positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrates effective communication skills.Maintains confidentiality of all patient and hospital information.Practices according to professional and ethical standards and enforces the same. Demonstrates an understanding of and functions as a professional nurse in accordance with Colorado State Nurse Practice Act.Provides care to patients in Medical/Surgical floor.IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!! Below is the documentation that we must have for travelers. -- Copies of any certifications required for the position BLS must be American Heart Association (ex: ACLS, PALS, ATLS ---. etc.) -- Proof of all required Regulatory Training -- Resume' with work experience -- Documented references -- Assessment of skills/competencies, signed by applicant -- Immunization records including documentation of immunity to Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoste, Hep B and Tetanus. -- TB test within the last year (True Two step PPD or TB Blood Test/QUANTAFERON) -- Results of criminal background check (within the last 30 days) -- Assurance of negative drug/alcohol screen results (within the last 30 days) -- Verify licensure that is unrestricted and active in Colorado -- CAPS check through the State of Colorado -- Flu shot is required by the State of Colorado no exceptions during influenza season. "Influenza Season" means November 1 through March 31 of the following year, or as otherwise defined by the Department epidemiology and flu surveillance team. I will also need a W-9 for your company.
