19 - 21809 - CO - Med/Surg RNSUMMARY: Provide nursing care to patients in Med/Surg. All aspects of nursing process; assess plans, implement and evaluate and documentation of care.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:-- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.-- Current Colorado RN licensure required.-- Must be American Heart Association BLS certified upon employment.-- ACLS, basic ECG competency and PALS.DUTIES:Plans for and utilizes nursing process to meet needs of patients of all ages. Includes assessment, planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation and evaluation. (Assess per chart review)Performs treatment in a safe and effective manner.Administers medications in a safe and timely manner.Maintains responsibility for preparation, interpretation and evaluation of test data.Demonstrates knowledge and skills to act appropriately in an emergency situation.Demonstrates knowledge and participates in education and counseling of patients and significant other in a plan of care.Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competency. May be required to complete periodic mandatory education as established by the Education Director and the Director of Medical/Surgical Nursing.Promotes positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrates effective communication skills.Maintains confidentiality of all patient and hospital information.Practices according to professional and ethical standards and enforces the same. Demonstrates an understanding of and functions as a professional nurse in accordance with Colorado State Nurse Practice Act.Provides care to patients in Medical/Surgical floor.IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!!VERIFICATION OF CREDENTIALS CHECKLIST Before agency personnel may provide care to patients or perform any responsibility requiring a license, a HR representative will confirm receipt of the following credentials/documents from candidates travel agency: __ Copies of any certifications required for the position BLS must be AHA (ex: ACLS, PALS)-- Proof of all required Regulatory (OSHA) Training-- Resume' with work experience-- Documented references-- Assessment of skills/competencies-- Immunization records including documentation of immunity to Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoste, Hep B and Tetanus.-- TB test within the last year. Acceptable test include QuantiFERON or Tspot or True Two step PPD(which means skins test and read must be done 2 times not jus once.)-- Confirmation of having received the COVID Vaccine (copy of vaccine card). COVID vaccine will be offered to those who have not been vaccinated.-- Results of criminal background check including OIG (within the last 30 days).-- Copy of negative 10 panel drug screen results (within the last 30 days).-- CAPS check through the State of Colorado (if required for unit).-- Influenza shot is required by the State of Colorado no exceptions during influenza season. Influenza season is Sept 1st (depending on availability of flu vaccines) through to March 31st of the following year, or as otherwise defined by the Department of Epidemiology and Flu Surveillance Team.-- Verify licensure that is unrestricted and active in Colorado.-- If temporary license, have copy of authorization letter from Colorado Board of Nursing; verify by phone, note on copy and place in their file.-- If permanent license, verify online & print a copy of the page.I will also need a W-9 for your company.

Shift: Full time Seasonal Temporary, 12 hour shifts, 11a-11p Mon, Tues, Wed, or Fri, Sat, Sun. *The shift and hours listed above may be subject to temporary or permanent change at any time according to the needs required to provide excellent and full services to our customers during employment.
