Our team members are part of a company with a heritage of leadership, a focus on shaping the future, and a mission dedicated to alleviating pain and improving the quality of life for people around the world.The Surgery Coordinator is a primary role in the Logistics, Inventory, and Operations team.The Surgery Coordinator is responsible for working closely with clients in order to meet their medical device needs and provide excellent customer service. They are responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of Zimmer Biomet orthopedic medical devices, including a comprehensive range of implants as requested by the surgeon or surgeon's team. Constant communication is key. Works closely with our sales team, inventory team and operations team. Coordinating with the Warehouse Clerk and Driver to deliver and retrieve all Zimmer Biomet products and utilizing satellite warehouses as needed.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with staff to make sure surgery requisitions are submitted timely and accurately to ensure fulfillment and delivery of product. Check orders for completeness and make recommendations based on previous orders.Fulfill surgery requests accurately and within time constraints.Use Enterprise Resource Planning/Manufacturing Resource Planning software programs to loan, receive, ship, issue and monitor inventory. May also require coordination with shipping companiesCollaborate with departments across functions: supply chain, warehouse, and operations to fulfill orders.Communication with internal and external components of our staff via text, e-mail and telephone to ensure surgery requisitions are submitted timely and accurately.Always maintain the status of inventory with ability to provide updates.Responsible for the return of inventory in a timely manner.Boxing, packing, labeling, shipping instruments, and using shipping programs as needed.Follow directions closely and possess ownership/responsibility for tasks.Develops and enhances product knowledge through training, webinars, learning modules, interaction and partnership with sales, marketing, sales training, med ed.This position is very active, on your feet most of the day, and physically lifting and moving inventory from vehicles into client offices and beyond. This can include boxes weighing up to 50-lbs. Education/Experience RequirementsHS Diploma, G.E.D. equivalent, or equivalent experience required.Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering or other technical field preferred.Travel Requirements
