Pediatrics opening in Denver, Colorado. Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver is expanding their Pediatric Urgent Care program and looking to hire multiple physicians to join their team. A few quick highlights about the opportunity:

• Will only see pediatric patients
• Yearly clinical hour expectation is 1520, which equates to roughly 6 weeks of time off.
• The clinic hours are 11am-8pm - the shift if 11am-9pm.
• Current staffing is 1 physician, 1 APP per site.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Provide clinical coverage in a mixed shift model (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays) for the Urgent Care track only. Ability to cover shifts in all Urgent Care facilities is required. Clinical responsibilities include: o Working days, evening, weekends, and holidays o Jeopardy shifts (an internal physician and Advanced Practice Provider coverage system for unanticipated absences) Clinical teaching of Medical Students, Family Practice Residents and Pediatric Residents Clinical Supervision and support of onboarding for Advanced Practice Providers Attendance and participation in required Section monthly meetings Participation in Quality Improvement and development of Clinical Care Guidelines Maintenance of skills required for provision of high quality, patient centered, safe urgent care for children. Annual requirements include but may not be limited to: o Two half-day Acute Care Education sessions put on by the Section per academic year o One high fidelity code simulation at the Simulation Center at CHCO and at least one code simulation at a local NOC site per academic year o Maintenance of PALS certification o Maintenance of CME relevant to clinical work o Attend other technical seminars as deemed mandatory by the section and/or practice site in conjunction with input from the Director
