Here is some of what you can expect from being an AirLife High Risk OB Flight Nurse with us:Your role performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery within AIRLIFE.You will utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to critically ill and/or injured patients aboard a variety of vehicles i.e. fixed wing aircraft, rotor wing aircraft and ground ambulances. Your role transports are between medical facilities and their diagnosis maybe a medical/surgical, obstetrical or postpartum diagnosis. You will assist with marketing activities of AirLife or HealthONE/HCA, along research when requested. Requirements for a High Risk Obstetrical Registered Nurse:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, B.S.N. preferred Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado Must be certified in BLS, ACLS, NRP upon hire and maintain throughout employmentSTABLE and NCC (core certifications) are highly desirableMust have RN-C Inpatient Obstetrical Nursing Certification offered through NCC within 1 years of hireFive years acute care / specialty nursing minimum Prefer Labor/Delivery tertiary care experienceAble to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of critical care transportOrientation ranges between 16-24 weeks Must be able to work in highly dynamic environment with exposure to noise, vibration and weather extremesMust be able to wear Night Vision Goggles (NVG's) and helmets for extended periods of time in flight (weight of each helmet is approximately 3.64 pounds with the additional weight of the NVG's of 1.84 pounds) Learn more about AirLife at https://airlifedenver.com/
