Join us in our efforts to better our community!As a Stroke and Sepsis Program Quality Coordinator you will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to lead the stroke services team and partner with the cardiovascular service line in providing specialized care to the stroke and sepsis patient population.What you will do in this role:
    • You are accountable for oversight of sepsis, clinical stroke and cardiovascular service line
    • You are responsible for reporting to stroke and sepsis reporting agencies (Get with the Guidelines, Core Measures)
    • You will assure all patients receive comprehensive and timely treatment and interventions that are consistent with Presbyterian/St Luke's Medical Center's defined Clinical Practice Guidelines.
    • You will work to obtain and/or maintain certification of the stroke and chest pain programs through relevant accrediting agencies.
    • You will demonstrate an understanding of program development, implementation, evaluation and marketing.
    • You will develop a sustainable framework for maintenance and accomplishment of external certification processes.
    • You will lead initiatives for enhanced clinical and quality programs.
    • You will function as a liaison between the physicians, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, patients and their families.
    • You will organize, coordinate, and facilitate programmatic meetings and performs delegated management duties as assigned by the VP of Quality which are consistent with her/his scope of practice and competence.
    • You will manage data and is the service line contact person for all process improvement and quality data related to sepsis, stroke and the cardiovascular service line. This may involve obtaining information from Meditech, and chart review as well as direct communication and clinicians and patients and data entry, maintenance of spreadsheets, preparing reports, coordination with contracted abstraction entities and participation in quality improvement activities as assigned for sepsis, stroke and other service lines.
    • You will provide input for the budget process, staffing and identifies opportunities for cost-effective strategies.Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, located in the Uptown neighborhood in Denver, CO and licensed for 680 beds, PSL provides the most advanced care for patients across the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains.       • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license
      • Current BLS required.
      • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred.
      • Three - Five years (3-5) previous clinical experience.
      • Possess advanced knowledge of theory and practice in professional nursing as evidenced by credentials, peer review and performance evaluation.Special Qualifications:
