We want your knowledge and expertise!Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pre-Admit Registered Nurse with us: --- - - - - - - - - -You will serve as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care prior to admission and procedure/surgery. - --- - - - - - - - - -You will be responsible for obtaining patient history and current medications, ensuring nursing assessment is completed and standard of care initiated. - --- - - - - - - - - -You will obtain and/or coordinate pre-admission diagnostic testing (EKGs, Labs, CXR, etc.), and analyze pertinent data, communicate findings, and documents information accurately. - --- - - - - - - - - -You will initiate and document pre-procedure/operative instruction and discharge teaching, involving patient and family/significant other. - - --- - - - - - - - - -You may work telephonically or in-person with the patient.Swedish Medical Center, part of HCA's HealthONE, is located in the south metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 110 years.   • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure.
  • Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC.
  • Graduate of a certified School of Nursing.
  • Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills. - Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Values & Standards of Nursing Practice at SMC. - Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. - Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
