Job Description:
*This position is eligible to receive a Specialty Differential
in addition to the base salary. Job SummaryUnder minimal
supervision, performs supervisory functions over professional
nursing and support staff in an inpatient unit, specialty clinic,
or treatment program in various patient care settings. Under
general supervision, adheres to the American Nurses Association
(ANA) standards of professional nursing and performance, and the
ANA Code of Ethics to provide care to all patients. Applies
critical thinking, evidence-based policies, procedures, guidelines
and competence to collaborate with the health care team to promote
excellence in patient safety and quality outcomes. Utilizes the
Theory of Human Caring and Caritas in daily practice. "Jean Watson,

Institute."ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge,
Skills & Abilities: . Knowledge of regulatory standards and
compliance requirements. Skilled in decision making regarding
appropriateness of care review, assist with research design
planning, and collaborating with Nursing Manager on quality
improvement reports. Ability to work independently as well as
collaboratively with other internal and external team members to
ensure timelines are met. Ability to act as a resource to care team
for clinical questions. Able to effectively recruit, develop, and
retain care team. Ability to adhere to, comply with and
demonstrates support for the mission and values of Denver Health.

Respect, & Excellence. Ability to ensure confidentiality of patient
information by creating and maintaining a secure and trusting

responsibilities and competencies are conducted in a manner that is

demonstrating the ability to assess data reflecting the patient's
status and interpreting appropriate cultural information of the
patient(s) to whom care/ services is being delivered/provided.
Ability to complete and maintain clinical competency
standards.Education Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Experience:
Typically, a minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing
experience in a patient care setting.Experience Credentials
Registered Nurse (Required) Certification/License/Registration:
Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Colorado or a
participating compact state. National board certification is
preferred and encouraged for Charge Nurses. *Specialty
certifications as required/recommended per unit. All Certifications
and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a
condition of continued
employment.Certification/License/Registration: Basic Life Support
for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR. Active Registered Nurse
(RN) License in the State of Colorado or a participating compact
state. National board certification is preferred and encouraged for
Charge Nurses. *Specialty certifications as required/recommended
per unit. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job
must be kept current as a condition of continued employment. Basic
Life Support (BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association (Required)
