Job Description:
Adult Psych UnitWe are a fast-paced unit serving acutely and
chronically mentally ill patients. We pride ourselves on providing
care to patients who display particularly difficult behaviors or
who many have comorbid medical diagnoses that cannot be
accommodated by other mental health facilities in Colorado. We
serve those who are uninsured, underserved, and/or those who lack
access to appropriate care. Our facility provides top-of-the-line
care to all patient populations that will only serve the personal
growth and nursing skill set development of those who join our
team. Our staffing levels are exponentially above that of other
facilities, as we operate on a direct-care nursing model (vs. a
team-based model) that allows for safe and individualized care of
patients. We also have an on-site security post to assist with
staff and patient safety alike. Job SummaryUnder general
supervision, the professional nurse adheres to the American Nurses
Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing and
performance, and the ANA Code of Ethics to provide care to all
healthcare consumers. Applies critical thinking, evidence-based
practices and competence to collaborate with the health care team
to promote excellence in healthcare consumer safety and quality
outcomes. Utilizes the Theory of Human Caring and Caritas in daily

Watson Caring Science Institute."Knowledge, Skills &
AbilitiesExperience: at least 1 year RN in a direct patient care
setting. Education Associate's Degree (Required) Completion of an
accredited nursing education program that is accredited and
satisfies the licensing requirements of the Colorado State Board of
Nursing for Registered Nurses. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
preferred. Experience: At least one-year RN experience in a direct
patient care setting.Credentials Registered Nurse (Required) Active
Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Colorado or a
participating compact state. National board certification is a
preference and encouraged for staff nurses.. Basic Life Support
(BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association (Required) American Heart
Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider
Certification/CPR. *Specialty certifications as
