Job Description:
Job SummaryUnder close supervision of an RN or Charge Nurse,
provides direct patient care in accordance with established plans.
Assists RNs and Care Providers with procedures, medication
administration, phlebotomy, and limited laboratory
procedures.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducation:
High school diploma or GED. Completion of a nursing education
program that satisfies the licensing requirements of the Colorado
State Board of Nursing for Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience:
Typically, one year directly related experience. Knowledge, Skills
& Abilities: Knowledge of appropriate charting procedures.
Interpersonal communication skills to communicate with hospital
staff and diverse patient population. Clerical skills. Ability to
assist patient with personal hygiene. Ability to transport
patients, specimens and supplies to and from various areas as
necessary. Knowledge of IV introduction. Ability to monitor IVs on
assigned patients once IV certification is received. -Current Basic
Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR. Active
Licensed Practical Nurse License in the state of Colorado or
qualifying compact state. IV Certification (for Acute Care and
Denver Sheriff Units).Education Experience Credentials
